Who We Are

Chatham Education Foundation completed fiscal year July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 with net income of $193k, down 7% from last fiscal year. This is due cancellation of our Casino Royale event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Net assets at the end of the fiscal year were a record $865k, up 35% from the prior fiscal year. Assets include an endowment with $801k market value. As a result of new endowment agreements and strong operating financials, the endowment has been built while maintaining significant levels of grant-giving to the school district.

For school year 2019-20 the Foundation funded 18 grants to teachers and administrators for a total of $57k, down from a more typical $100k/year level due to COVID-19 :

• $24k to K-5 schools: Washington, Milton, Southern Boulevard, Lafayette

• $12k to Chatham Middle School (grades 6-8)

• $10k to Chatham High School (grades 9-12)

• $10k for school district grants including TEDx teacher training and 3D printer supplies to manufacture personal protective equipment during COVID-19 Grants covered a wide array of curricular areas and projects, from furniture to support 21st century learning to technology, math and science to English.

All students and educators in our school district are positively impacted by donations made to Chatham Education Foundation. Our generous donors proudly help us Reach Higher!
