Alan Routh, Vice President
Alan Routh joined Chatham Education Foundation in 2012. He currently serves as a Vice President, and previously served as Treasurer, Finance Chair, and Endowment Chair.
Alan served from 2008-2011 on the Board of Education for the School District of the Chathams.
Alan worked for ExxonMobil for 35 years in the US, Indonesia, Norway, Thailand, and Australia. Internationally, he served as Sr. Vice President Gas Marketing of ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia, Gas Manager in Norway, and Logistics Planning Manager and Marketing Planning Manager in Thailand. In the US, his positions included International Downstream Controller, Downstream Financial Reporting Manager, Esso Eastern (Far East) Financial Reporting Manager, and positions in Supply and Transportation, Industry Analysis, Transportation Operations, Supply Operations, and Supply Planning.
Alan has Electrical Engineering and MBA degrees from Oklahoma State University. He is on the Dean’s Council at the Oklahoma State University Spears School of Business. He is on the President’s Advisory Council at Muhlenberg College, and was a charter member of the Penn State Parent Philanthropy Committee.
Alan and his wife Rungnapa have four children, all graduates of Chatham High School. Their children subsequently graduated from Penn State University, University of Wisconsin at Madison, and Muhlenberg College.
